Description
The heavy burgonet forged in one piece, the skull with extensive repairs on the inside, the peak and neck guard with turned flanges, the peak also with an old repair, the hinged, lateral cheek pieces (of later date), each with nine perforations for hearing. Height 27 cm. Includes a gorget with attached shoulder armour, sliding on six lames, and a cuirass with a ridged breastplate, the backplate somewhat pitted, and two large tassets forged in one piece. The components not associated, re-leathered and blackened at a later date. Height approx. 91 cm. A magnificent suit of composite armour.Condition: II - Questions about the lot?
