The skull of the burgonet forged in two pieces. High roped comb, the tapering peak with a finely turned and roped edge. The attached cheek pieces opening on a hinge. The gorget opening on a hinge, with a lightly ridged breast plate. Two-lame neck guard, with a prominent, roped and turned flange. Folding bolts on the sides to hold the shoulder straps. Rerebraces sliding on six lames with a turned and roped edge. The outer lame of the right arm broken and restored. Breastplate with pronounced ridge and slight medial projection (repaired with brass solder), the gussets moving on sliding rivets. The prominent, roped flanges struck inwards. The faulds of three articulated lames, the tassets sliding on six lames with a turned and roped edge. The matching backplate with pronounced bosses on the shoulder blades and turned and roped edges. Attached shoulder straps with riveted armour plates. All parts matching and with identical chased décor of finely inset, decorative lines and surrounding band of meander ornament in black and white (running dog). Original buckles, the leather covering partly replaced. Height 94 cm.Condition: II - Questions about the lot?
