Description

Iron blade of a Roman sword of the type Lauriacum-Hromowka (variant Lauriacum according to Miks 2007) with a long grip hinge. Width below the hilt 5 cm, at the transition to the tip 4.8 cm. The blade with five parallel midribs. The largely parallel blades with only minimal breakouts. Excellently preserved specimen of this type of sword. Length of the tang 17.5 cm. Overall length 76 cm.

Provenance: From a private collection in South Germany.
