Description
Terracotta head with fine features of a distinguished lady with an almost chubby face. Broken below the chin. The hair strands could well be interpreted as snakes, which would allow identification with Medusa. In Hellenistic times, she was no longer depicted as a monster, but as a beauty. Without additions.
