Description

Two identical terracotta votive protoms. Depicted are the head and upper body of a lady in chiton. Fine facial features. The head covered with a cloth (capite velato). The arms in a praying gesture in front of the chest. One protome complete, the dark surface rubbed in places. The second one broken and glued; with missing parts. Length 16 cm.

Provenance: South German private collection.
