Description

Oil on canvas. Multi-figured scene with rural idyll. In the foreground a dancing bear with an animal trainer surrounded by numerous spectators, all of them wearing traditional Bavarian costumes. At the left half of the picture a horse and cart also with tamed animals, people partly dressed in middle-class clothes. Signed at lower left "Louis Braun, München" and dated "(18)93". In a gilded stucco frame. Dimensions 42 x 65 cm. Doubled. A little bit worn due to its age. The frame slightly chipped.
