Description
Characteristically curved single-edged blade with narrow fullers on both sides. The base decorated with fine tendrils inlaid in gold, the back of the blade cut and with central ridge. Silver grip ferrule with flower ornaments (replaced?). Riveted grip scales of walrus ivory, one grip scale slightly damaged, engraved silver grip straps. Wooden scabbard covered with red velvet. Partly gilt silver furniture withfinely chased trophy décor, the terminal of the chape in the shape of a monster head. Two movable suspension rings with attached red carrying cord. Length 77 cm.
