Description

Silver, chased, engraved, chiselled, with rich relief in the gilt areas. The bell with chiselled sovereign’s cypher "FR", the regimental inscription "G.d.C.", an aristocratic coat of arms with inscription "Gen: B v E." and the manufacturer’s signature "Blanvalet à Berlin 1784", and "No. 3" chiselled on the inside. Lavish parade decoration (somewhat worn) of red rounded cord interwoven with silver, draped with five braided mirrors and seven bullion tassels. Traces of wear and age. Length 70 cm.
Unusually rare, early instrument of the highest-ranking regiment of the Prussian guard cavalry.
