Description

Bicorn of black needle felt trimmed with watered silk, the ends with silver bullion coils, brown silk lining with leather sweatband. Imperial cockade of pleated rep ribbon, surmounted by a silver bullion clasp with eagle button. Tailor-made long tunic of fine navy-blue cloth with silver anchor buttons. Collar, breast flap lining and cuffs of black velvet with silver braiding, black silk lining. Epaulettes of black velvet with crescent moons embroidered in silver, fringes and metal appliqués. The formerly worn silver rank rosettes for officials were exchanged for silver rank stars after navy officials were awarded the status of soldiers.

The auction includes 580 lots and starts on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 1001 - 1580. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 and Oct. 28 - 31, 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET).
