Description

Fullered, nickel-plated and partly gilt single-edged blade with double-edged point. Both sides decorated with etched flower trophies, on the obverse Russian double-headed eagle with St. George in the centre, on the reverse Tsar’s cypher A II. for Alexander II. On the ricasso maker’s mark “… Schnitzler Solingen” and on the obverse “Eisenhauer”. Tang broken (loosened, old repair). Brass hilt, grooved wooden grip. Leather-covered wooden scabbard (minor flaws) with brass funiture (partly loosened). Length 94.5 cm.

The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 and Oct. 28 - 31, 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET).
