Description

Showcase with several Pre-columbian objects on a black Nasca canvas: a gold Tupu pin, weight 18.5 g, a pair of gold earrings and a gold nose ring, all from Chan Chan near Trujillo, Peru. Chimú culture, circa 1200 A.D.; a bent up gold sheet bracelet from Tiahuanaco; a necklace with gold pendant from Lambayeque, circa 1200 - 1300 A.D., and a fragment of a gold bracelet from the Callango valley, circa 1st century A.D.

Provenance: German private collection, acquired on the art market in March 1976.

The auction includes 712 lots and starts on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 3001 - 3712. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 and Oct. 28 - 31, 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET).
