Description

Two-piece, fire-gilt bronze, lavishly set with stones and partially painted. A reclining elephant-headed deity on the slightly raised pedestal. Upon which, the six-armed Mahakala with a wrathful expression, framed by rising flames, holding the flaming Cintamani symbol and a kapala in his main hands. Height 16.5 cm. Showing traces of age and use. The gilding abraded in places.

The auction includes 712 lots and starts on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 3001 - 3712. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 and Oct. 28 - 31, 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET).
