Description

Triangular stabbing blade with three pierced holes, two fullers, and baluster-shaped shoulder. Gilt silver hilt with globular elements cut in a spiral design. The obverse featuring an intricate ornament decorated with cabochons. Grip bound with silver wire and gilt Turk's heads, on gilt ribbed ball stopper pommel. Silver scabbard engraved all-over with flowers and trophy bundles, the gilt chape decorated en suite to the pommel. On the back an eyelet with relief ornamentation and chiselled monogram "I.G."
Fine, rare dagger in good condition. Length 53 cm.
