Description

The calotte struck in one piece with riveted crown and screw-mounted mandrel. Three riveted, gold damascened plume sockets with lockable sliding nasal bar. Etched decoration over the entire surface with fine gold-damascened decorative lines. The skull is decorated with horsemen with curved sabres between leaves and a frieze with dancers and music players at the lower edge. Attached fine aventail of butted chain mail. With a wooden stand. Height approx. 48 cm.
