DescriptionSilver with remnants of gilding. The stepped base with finely punched, chequered décor. Baluster shaft with lozenge-shaped patterns, a border of curled leaf shavings around the upper edge. The bowl with a decorative border of lozenges at the base, with delicate stippled chequering above a pronounced ridge. The owner's monogram "VD" engraved on the side of the bowl, the monogram repeated on the base with engraved city gate. The Augsburg pyr mark and master's mark "MB" (Rosenberg, volume I, no. 500) stamped on the rim of the bowl and the base. Height 19.5 cm, weight 220 g.
