DescriptionThe rectangular casket made of softwood, with a domed, hinged lid and four conical brass feet. The sides and lid entirely covered in embossed leather, the lower surface gilt leather. Hunting or mythological scenes in the centre of each surface, framed by an ornamental border. The interior lined in crimson silk, one narrow side can be pulled upwards to reveal two small drawers on the inside. The lock on the front with the original key, the lid with a movable brass handle, a small, fully sculptured lion's head with a ring in its maw on the sides. Dimensions 21 x 14.8 x 19 cm.
