A Bankes obelisk in black marble (Ashford Black), modelled after the Philae obelisk acquired by William John Bankes shortly after it was discovered on the island of the same name in 1815. In beautiful, decorative condition. Literature: the exhibition catalogue "Faszination Pyramiden", Vaduz 2017, p. 249 (with a reversed illustration on p. 250). Dimensions 47 x 16.5 x 16.5 cm.
