The oak head carved in half relief with the original coloured paint. The facial features finely crafted, with curled hair and chin beard. On the head, a pilgrim's hat with a scallop shell and two other pilgrim's insignia. Mounted on a modern iron stand. Height of the head 29.5 cm, including stand 40 cm.

Questions about the lot?
The paintwork rubbed in the higher sections, occasional defects. Flaws below the right eye and at the side of the nose, a chip on the upper edge of the brim.
