B-Lung unit made by DESCO of Milwaukee, Jack Browne mask and dual breather hoses. One-piece collar covered with white canvas, with two metal oxygen canisters contained within. Manufacturer markings stamped to front panel. Includes white canvas dive weight belt with snap-fit flap cartridges to store weights. Used by the OSS (known as DESCO) close to shore on reconnaissance of Normandy beaches by the OSS UDT (underwater dive team) in 1944 and in many other underwater situations.
