After the extremely successful
sale of more than 90 pedal cars from the reserve collection
of the enthusiastic collector and museum founder Manfred Klauda
last autumn, "The First Pedal Car Museum in the World"
will now be dispersed in this auction. The more than 150 children's
vehicles from the "Center of Extraordinary Museums"
in Munich make this auction the largest of its kind in the
world.
One of the oldest of the models offered here is a push-coach
from around 1880 from England, in which children of the better
classes first "experienced" mobility (Euro 2,200).
The series then continues throughout the entire 20th century,
from a "Renault" pedal car of 1913 (Euro 12,000),
through a "Buick" of 1935 (Euro 7,500) all the way
to plastic cars such as Donald Duck's legendary "313"
(Euro 750) or a "Cabrio Beetle" (Euro 290).
The Torck Single Seater (Euro 1,500) really catches the eye
as does the "Aero Morgan" (Euro 7,500) in which Manfred
Klauda made his famous record trips from Munich to Dresden,
which received mention in the Guiness Book of World Records. |
