of the Lippish Infantry
Slightly curved single-edged blade with symmetrical point, the shoulder stamped "1849" and "S & K" (Schnitzler & Kirschbaum, Solingen), signs of corrosion. Patinated brass hilt with S & K mark, stamped "3 C. F. B. L." beside a Lippish rose. With well preserved brass-mounted leather scabbard, unstamped. Length 60 cm.
Rare military side-arm in original condition.
