A pair of decorative Illyric silver belts

6th century B.C.
Elaborately crafted belts made of sheet silver, each with considerably broadened end. The entire surface with a finely chased, geometrical pattern, on one side twelve embossed decorative umbos. Cleaned archaeological finds. Very good condition, some parts slightly bent and torn, respectively. Length each ca. 87 cm, maximum width 16 cm. Weight 305 and 308 g.
