A fine cased pair of percussion pistols,

Gastinne Renette, Paris, circa 1850. Octagonal barrels, finely rifled bores in 10 mm calibre with patent breeches and iron sights. On the barrel tops the engraved signature "par Gastinne Rennete arq del'Empereur a Paris". Tangs numbered "1" and "2",respectively. Percussion locks chiselled with floral designs and iron furniture. Ebony stocks carved with leafy vine decoration in relief. Length of each 42 cm. In a velvet-lined wooden case with complete accessories. Dimensions 46.5 x 25 x 7 cm.
