A Provincial Roman silver votive plate
2nd century A.D. A pentagonal silver sheet with a gabled top and embossed decoration in relief. In the centre a portrait of Zeus in half relief within a circle, flanked by grapes, an ear of wheat, and two stars. A depiction of Mercury on the left rim, and an eagle grasping thunderbolts on the right. The perimeter is bordered by a double row of beads. One attachment ring remains on the right side. Cleaned excavation discovery. Edges cracked and with small defects. Old repair at the upper left. Dimensions 16 x 25 cm. Weight 99 g.
