A miniature wheellock pistol,

Michael Mann, Nuremberg, circa 1600. Completely functional pistol, with an iron barrel and lock, and a fire-gilt copper stock richly engraved with leafy vines, blossoms, and geometric decoration. Fishtail stock. One carrying ring. Ramrod missing. Greatest length 53 mm.
Michael Mann, artistic lock maker in Nuremberg from 1590 to 1630 was famed for his small gilded iron caskets, model cannon, and miniature pistols, which more resembled complicated mechanical masterpieces and watches than arms.
